I know of this lady. Tara Mathew - she can be contacted at her office in Koramangala at 25533590 or 25534385. I don't know if she is a psychologist or a psychiatrist but she's supposed to be very good. She has a clinic I think in Indiranagar or Koramangala.

Take her to Parivarthan ASAP. They have doctors/psychiatrist, specialist and of course counsellors too. They are the best gateway to get to others. NIMHANS is another option, but considering how huge and busy it is, it may be a challenge- but it is certainly a good 2nd options.

Dr C.R. Chandrashekhar is an awesome doc. He gives talks on mental well being, he's HOD of psychiatry at NIMHANS.He has converted his house to a free counseling center which is full of kind people. I guess the doc will recommend a counseling center closer to where this lady lives. The process is not official at all, it's kept very casual. Refusal to get counseled is very common, there is also something called proxy counseling, where a family member can get counseled and pass on the message or something like that
