Where to learn Spanish in Bangalore

Institute of Foreign Languages and Culture: http://www.iflac.net/
A lot of people apparently choose this place to study Spanish, and they have a branch office in Vasant Nagar, on Palace Road - http://www.iflac.net/ContactUs.htm
Here are the profiles of their Spanish teachers: http://www.iflac.net/Instructors.htm
......................................................................................

Recommended by one of my old MA students, who's been learning Spanish, and has been a French teacher for many years now, so she understands language teaching techniques:

"I am going to Nishita for Spanish lessons. She is almost like a native speaker as she grew up in Spain and did her studies in a Spanish medium school there. She stays in Frazer town now and gives lessons as per the requirements of each person and according to their timings. I have been to other places too and have been very dissatisfied. H

Her number is - 9743208034. "

Info from two people, one of them is my MA student/French teacher who has learned Spanish from her while she was working at TCS, says she's good:

Sonia Chugh: 98866-62541; land 25551693
She teaches at Alliance Francaise.  She is good both at French and Spanish.'

Don't know anyone who's actually studied here, but it exists :)

Learn Kannada - One Word a Day

Life’s about to get easier for Bangalore’s non-Kannada speaking population with a website that teaches subscribers a new Kannada word every day for free.

The website http://www.padakali.com, which literally means ‘learn a word’ is the brainchild of two Bangalore-based techies Vishwanag S Hiremath (27) and Ujjwal Grover (24). While Hiremath is a Kannadiga, Grover came to the city from Madhya Pradesh in 2007. He grappled with the language problem and soon realised that he was not alone — about 62 per cent of the city’s population has the same problem.

That’s when the learn-aword idea was born. It first started off in their office. “We have this ritual where one person comes up with a Kannada word of the day. Since it got a good response, we thought of replicating the idea online, to reach out to more people,” Hiremath told Bangalore Mirror.
